He's a 10 month old Italian Greyhound mix recovered from Demodex Mange. He's a real sweetie. He was rescued in July from a local kill shelter. He was found in someone's front yard sitting under a tree. He was only a few weeks old. Lucky is a sweetheart. Calm boy, really loves to snuggle, does great in his kennel, never whines(at least not here), rarely if ever barks, great on a leash and in the car. Pretty much loves all kids, and people. But it is best that he have a home with children over the age of 8. Just because he can be a bit overzealous with the younger ones. He wants to chase cats though, so best in a home without cats. Hope came to us Jan.31st. She had been in the shelter for 10 days. She was pretty emaciated, but still high in spirits. In the time she's been here, she's gained at least 20lbs, and is thriving. Hope is now ready for her forever home, and would love to have a meet/greet with you! She's great with most all dogs from what we can see and has had no aggressive reaction when she's been threatened. She's also good around cats. Bonded Pair. Mabel and Bailey go together like peas and carrots. Peanut Butter and Jelly. Cereal and milk.. ok, you get the idea. :) Mabel has known Bailey since the day Bailey was born. Out of all the fosters here, she(and the other puppies) are the ones that Mabel never seems to have an issue with, ever. These two wrestle in the house, hang out outside, and are just the bestest of buds. With Bailey's shyness and Mabel's separation anxiety about leaving the rescue, I think these two adopted out together would be awesome. Mabel would be able to help keep Bailey calm/bring her out of her shell. And Bailey would be able to keep Mabel ... (Read More)company in their new home. Plus- You get the best of both! A giant and a munchkin! :D Otherwise, if Mabel is adopted on her own, she cannot have a K9 housemate. While she was away I was told she got along great with another female dog- but their play dates were never on Mabel's territory. Bailey is shy to strangers both of the human and K9 form. She generally growls or barks to start, but is harmless and does warm up. Ellie is estimated to be 5 years old. She is a cuddle bug who is happy to just sit beside you and be loved. But she also can be playful. When she came to her foster home it appeared that she may have been used for breeding and didn't know how to play. That was a while ago and she doesn't dwell on the past. She is a smart girl who is crate trained and uses a doggie door to potty outside. Ellie is spayed, current on vaccinations, is heartworm negative, and is on heartworm preventative. Leo is estimated to be 2 or 3 years old and weighs apps 37lbs. He is a gentle soul who is good with children and gets along well with other dogs. He is shy with people he doesn't know, but once he knows he can trust you, he is a happy, relaxed and playful boy. He likes to go for walks or a run. He knows how to sit and loves to catch small treats in his mouth. He uses a doggie door, but also knows how to ring bells on the door to go outside. Now for the particulars: LAYLEE *MUST* BE AN INDOOR DOG. You MUST have a fenced yard. If you want her to keep your other dog busy because you aren't giving it time, adding another, even one as perfect as LayLee, will not solve your problem. LayLee is an American Pit Bull Terrier/American Staffordshire Terrier, which are NOT guard/protection dogs. Do not even ask. He's a great loyal boy who aims to please. Does good in his kennel, and does well with training. LOVES to play. Wants to be loved on, petted, and be around his person. Also better in a home with no male dogs- as other male dogs just seem to not like him much. And he comes off as aggressive, even though he's not. If they are puppies-- younger than 4 months, that's fine. He comes off very strong to start, but does calm down a bit afterward. He's in his stubborn teenage stage, but with an experienced owner and patience, he'll be the best dog ever. Great in the car. Needs a lot of leash work, does bit better when harnessed, but still needs a lot of work. Would be great for an active person and/or single person who wants a loving companion.
