If you would like to help pleaseYou can make tax-deductible gifts at http://www.adopmeirving.com/ and use the paypal link there, please note in the instructions it is for Honey Bee. We appreciate it so much.** She's a really good girl and they do their best and I visit daily but she's only happy when she's out and with her pal, my foster LayLee. She is boarding at ... (Read More)Wuf spa in Irving. Honey Bee is back up for adoption. Her forever home turned out not to be so much. :( Apparently moving out of state doesn't mean forever for poor miss Honey Bee. She sadly had to be placed in boarding at her foster's expense for the time being as she cannot return to her savior/foster's house as it just causes too much stress among the personal dogs that live there. She's much too wonderful to be in boarding. What she needs is a REAL forever home. Can you be that for Miss Honey Bee? Honey appears to be a Lab-mix, perhaps 1-2 years old, about 55 pounds. She is a tripod. She's something very special. Please don't overlook this gem. Please contact Christy Wilson with questions and inquiries at bodyworker1@gmail.com (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 12-04-17-00028Lucky (male)

Whippet Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

He's a 10 month old Italian Greyhound mix recovered from Demodex Mange. He's a real sweetie. He was rescued in July from a local kill shelter. He was found in someone's front yard sitting under a tree. He was only a few weeks old. Lucky is a sweetheart. Calm boy, really loves to snuggle, does great in his kennel, never whines(at least not here), rarely if ever barks, great on a leash and in the car. Pretty much loves all kids, and people. But it is best that he have a home with children over the age of 8. Just because he can be a bit overzealous with the younger ones. He wants to chase cats though, so best in a home without cats. It is also ... (Read More)imperative that he go to a home that has no male dogs, mainly bully breeds. Something about them, Lucky doesn't like and he will attack unprovoked. He's generally fine with all females. He's also been fine with males here that are not bully breeds. He's pretty calm and laid back. He 'prances' when excited/happy. Loves to be where his person is at. Very cute. He arrived August 12, 2011. Lucky will come with a coupon book filled with great coupons for Petco. And coupon sent via email for $5 for his first month of pet insurance. Adoption Fee: $120, application required. No apartments/duplexes/townhomes Must be 21 yrs of age or older to adopt. Personality: High Energy, Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Hope came to us Jan.31st. She had been in the shelter for 10 days. She was pretty emaciated, but still high in spirits. In the time she's been here, she's gained at least 20lbs, and is thriving. Hope is now ready for her forever home, and would love to have a meet/greet with you! She's great with most all dogs from what we can see and has had no aggressive reaction when she's been threatened. She's also good around cats. She's got a lot of energy, but will still calm quickly when commanded to. She's knows a few basic commands, and is very treat motivated. She's house trained, kennel trained, a good on a lead. Has some slight pulling, but ... (Read More)listens to gentle correction. She's spayed, UTD on all her shots, and will come microchipped. Hope, as with all our other fosters, is to be an INSIDE dog only. She will not be allowed to go to a home that plans to keep her outdoors all the time. She is to be part of the family. Rescue Me ID: 12-01-05-00115Mabel (female)

Mastiff Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Bonded Pair. Mabel and Bailey go together like peas and carrots. Peanut Butter and Jelly. Cereal and milk.. ok, you get the idea. :) Mabel has known Bailey since the day Bailey was born. Out of all the fosters here, she(and the other puppies) are the ones that Mabel never seems to have an issue with, ever. These two wrestle in the house, hang out outside, and are just the bestest of buds. With Bailey's shyness and Mabel's separation anxiety about leaving the rescue, I think these two adopted out together would be awesome. Mabel would be able to help keep Bailey calm/bring her out of her shell. And Bailey would be able to keep Mabel ... (Read More)company in their new home. Plus- You get the best of both! A giant and a munchkin! :D Otherwise, if Mabel is adopted on her own, she cannot have a K9 housemate. While she was away I was told she got along great with another female dog- but their play dates were never on Mabel's territory. Both are spayed, UTD on shots, on Heart worm preventive, and microchipped. Both are housetrained and crate trained. Both know sit and lay command. Both are great with kids and cats. Bailey is shy to strangers both of the human and K9 form. She generally growls or barks to start, but is harmless and does warm up. She can be a tab jumpy on little ones, but nothing that can't be worked on. Both have been raised around a preschooler and a 7 year old. And both have been here with the rescue since July. Adoption fee together: $300 Go to: http://www.phillipsfosters.org/AdoptionApplication.html To fill out an adoption application and email it to PFRInc@gmail.com Experience with extra large/giant breeds is a must. Chihuahua Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Ellie is estimated to be 5 years old. She is a cuddle bug who is happy to just sit beside you and be loved. But she also can be playful. When she came to her foster home it appeared that she may have been used for breeding and didn't know how to play. That was a while ago and she doesn't dwell on the past. She is a smart girl who is crate trained and uses a doggie door to potty outside. Ellie is spayed, current on vaccinations, is heartworm negative, and is on heartworm preventative. Ellie loves children and is good with other dogs. She has a lot of love to give.

American Staffordshire Terrier Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Now for the particulars: LAYLEE *MUST* BE AN INDOOR DOG. You MUST have a fenced yard. If you want her to keep your other dog busy because you aren't giving it time, adding another, even one as perfect as LayLee, will not solve your problem. LayLee is an American Pit Bull Terrier/American Staffordshire Terrier, which are NOT guard/protection dogs. Do not even ask. They are bred to be friendly and affectionate with humans, and LayLee is as true to breed standard as they come. This little rednose sweetheart will be a beloved and cherished companion to you and your family for all of her days, a member living with and as part of the family. If ... Rescue Me ID: 12-01-04-00029Hershey (male)

Australian Kelpie Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Female Dogs Only, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Hershey - He's neutered, UTD on shots, microchipped and ready for his new forever home. Has been in foster care for 6 months. He shares a foster home with children( ages 3 and 7)Please won't you give this boy a wonderful home. 10 month old Pit/Bull Terrier/lab? mix. He's got some crazy, cute ears. He's a great loyal boy who aims to please. Does good in his kennel, and does well with training. LOVES to play. Wants to be loved on, petted, and be around his person. He's ok around cats, just likes to give chase if he's not watched. He's high energy when he meets new dogs. So slow introductions are best. He just wants to play with them so bad, ... (Read More)and gets so excited. Please won't you give this boy a wonderful home. Great with all people and kids, however, suggest home with no babies(infants). Also better in a home with no male dogs- as other male dogs just seem to not like him much. And he comes off as aggressive, even though he's not. If they are puppies-- younger than 4 months, that's fine. He comes off very strong to start, but does calm down a bit afterward. He's in his stubborn teenage stage, but with an experienced owner and patience, he'll be the best dog ever. Great in the car. Needs a lot of leash work, does bit better when harnessed, but still needs a lot of work. Would be great for an active person and/or single person who wants a loving companion. Hershey comes with a coupon book from Petco filled with great coupons to get you started with your new furry friend. And of course his medical records. If you rent- proof of deposit is required, along with approval from owner or property manager. Application required. Must not have breed restrictions. Hershey is done growing in height, and weighs roughly 45-50lbs. He's not that large or tall. Doesn't take up much space. He's not aggressive with food or anything else. Adoption fee: $60 (all adoption fees go directly back to the rescue to be used in the care of other fosters and rescued dogs) Application required. Must be 21 yrs old or older to adopt. Must show proof of pet deposit and housing manager/landlord approval before filling out an application if you rent. Application is required for a meet/greet.
